SOLAE - Innovation Through Nature.

Solae Lecithins are a complex mixture of surface-active agents called phospholipids. Phospholipids molecules contain a lipophilic portion and a hydrophilic portion. This contributes to the surface-active properties necessary for promoting quick and complete wetting in aqueous systems. Solae’s broad line of refined speciality Lecithins will disperse powders quickly and completely by reducing surface and interfacial tensions between powders and liquids.

Carrageenan is a naturally-occurring family of carbohydrates extracted from red seaweed. From this natural source, FMCBioPolymer develops and customizes blends of carrageenans for specific gelling, thickening, and stabilizing properties.

Alginate is one of the most versatile biopolymers and is used in a wide range of food, pharmaceutical and specialty applications for:

  • Thickening
  • Stabilizing
  • Gelling
  • Film forming
  • Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a unique ingredient. In water, with shear, MCC forms a three-dimensional matrix comprised of millions of insoluble microcrystals that form an extremely stable, thixotropic gel. Microcrystalline cellulose functions at any temperature and provides superior freeze/thaw and heat stability to finished products.

Ferrer.

Ferrer produces a range of products -intensive sweeteners, flavourings, colourings, dietetic complements and several high-tech additives.

Of the above the Neohesperidine DC (NHDC) stands out. NHDC is an intensive sweetener and flavour modifier, which greatly improves the flavour and palatability of food stuffs and pharmaceutical products. It is 1500 – 1800 times sweeter than Sucralose.

  • A high degree of synergistic effects with other intense and bulk sweeteners
